Overview

The Maternal, Neonatal Health Senior Technical advisor is responsible for giving expert advice on newborn and child health to the Ministry of Health.  The Advisor will support a team of 11 district level MNH mentors in the of MNH services, to expand and improve the quality of MNCH services in hospitals, health centers and at the community level.

Qualifications and Experience

Medical or nursing degree or special training in pediatrics. Minimum of 7 yrs experience working in Malawi and developing country health systems with a focus on newborn and child health. Advanced degree in public health or related area. Immediate availability. At least 5 yrs experience in MCH health project management/leadership position, preference given for those with USAID-supported health project experience. Experience and formal studies in health management, QA, and/or organizational development desirable.
