Overview

The IPTp Study Coordinator will upport the day to day operations of this study, including liaising with USAID/PMI, CDC, MAC, and ONSE Health staff.

Specific Responsibilities

The study coordinator’s responsibilities will including

  • Planning and coordinating logistics with support of ONSE operations team
  • Supervision of intervention implementation,
  • Routine data collection,
  • Data management and quality assurance
  • Data analysis and reporting as neededKNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Bachelors in Social Sciences/Health Management or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in operational and/or implementation research, data collection, data analysis, and/or M& E analysis
  •  Familiarity with malaria program activities, including malaria in pregnancy and IPTp; experience and familiarity with community service delivery and HSAs highly desirable;
  • The coordinator must be comfortable supervising data collection, managing and assuring the quality of study data, analyzing data, writing reports, creating presentations to communicate performance and progress to project;
  • 3 years or more proven experience in the conducting or managing operational or implementation research studies to inform public health practice, or in highly relevant related field.KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
  •  Experience in USAID-funded health projects, particularly with MNCH and malaria programs, is highly
    desirable.
  • Ability to develop, implement, enforce, and adapt standard operating procedures that will maximize the quality and accuracy of study data, analysis, and reporting.
  •  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, simple data analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Fluency in English and Chichewa is require
