Overview

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking experienced Project Directors for anticipated donor funded TB projects in Southern Asia.

 

Positions are subject to project award and funding.

 

Overall Responsibilities:

 

The Project Director provides strategic, managerial, technical leadership and oversight for the project. S/he leads and manages the project and is fully responsible for the timely and adequate implementation of project activities, deliverables and results. S/he is the official representative of MSH and maintains all communication with appropriate donor officials, project partners and local stakeholders to ensure adequate coordination of the technical assistance.  S/he has the requisite qualifications and experience sufficient to ensure a balance of technical, managerial and inter personal skills.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and a managerial leadership on a large scale TB project.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of program work plans and strategies aligned with host government priorities.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations in work planning and project implementation.
  • Ensure that the program achieves the requisite cost share.
  • Overall responsible for project results, developing the vision and technical strategy, maintenance of documentation, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Master’s Degree or higher in public health, social sciences or related field. Additional MD degree is added value.
  • At least ten (10) years’ Project Director experience on donor leading and managing health programs of donor funded health programs. 12 years of project management experience is preferred.
  • Extensive experience working in public health in the fields of TB, infectious diseases, and HIV/AIDS.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required and experience working in the South Asia region.
